ELISA for Lyme disease
The ELISA test allows us to detect the presence of antibodies created against different genospecies of Borrelia in the blood of patients with great precision.
It serves both for people who have had the disease and those who have been in contact with it and want to know their current level of antibodies. To do this, we measure two types of immunoglobulins (IgM and IgG) that appear at different times after infection.
This test is complementary to the ELISPOT Cellular Immunity Test and RT-PCR. We recommend performing all three tests to learn more about immunity.
