Nowadays, the presence of women in the labor market is almost taken for granted. However, not so long ago, it was uncommon to see them working out of home. This mentality change took place at the beginning of the 20th century, which is the period when women claimed civil rights that they had not been previously granted. Despite this, a recent World Economic Forum report has been published in which the time needed to achieve gender equality was estimated to be 217 years.

Currently, International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8th March every year. The United Nations annually choose a theme as leitmotiv of the assertion. The topic chosen for 2018 is #PressforProgress with the aim to promote equality between men and women in those work areas where they are still inexistent.
