SAMPLE REQUIREMENTS

Extended telomere associated variables (TAV) analysis

A valuable breakdown of the entire telomere length distribution including more than 200 variables per sample.

The TAV analysis detects unique differences across telomere measurements revealing differences between samples that might not be detected by our standard analysis.

1. Percentiles: The telomere lengths for each one of the percentiles (1-99) in the telomere length distribution of each sample.

2. ShortTel variables: The percentages (%) of telomeres of each telomere length (from the shortest to the longest) in the entire distribution.

3. ShortCell variables: The percentages (%) of cells with different telomere lengths (from the shortest to the longest) in the entire distribution.

 

Telomerase is the enzyme that can elongate telomeres and it can be used as an independent biomarker or in combination with other Telomere variables. The Q-TRAP assay measures the activity of the telomerase enzyme
